In collaboration with Pelsis’ internal design team, Trig Creative helped develop the next generation of LED flykiller.

 

The project explored the overall design and construction of the flykiller with a particular focus on how to effectively implement the new LED technology.

Key Design Considerations

  • Maintenance of glue board and UV LED strips

  • Heat management of LED strip

  • Existing glue board use

  • Modularity in construction

Fully working prototype, first revealed at Parasitec in November 2018.

The advancements in UV LED technology offer a 67% saving on energy running costs as well as offering an equal catch performance to existing fluorescent lamps.
